Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Kléberson Teles got the match started through his kick off. When Waldir Cearense came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Mergulhao FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldir Cearense couldn't finish the play. Luiz Fábio de Alcântara's late challenge caught a Mergulhao FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Fábio de Alcântara helped the player get up and apologised. After 5 played minutes Imbura got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fábio de Alcântara. In the 6th minute, Michel Dracena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedrão Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. João Adolfo Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Mergulhao FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Elano Pinheiro hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Kléberson Teles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving João Adolfo Braga. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedrão Cardoso got free with João Adolfo Braga in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kléberson Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. João Adolfo Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michel Dracena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Dracena in the 30th minute of play forced Imbura's goalkeeper Osvaldo Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Imbura's Pedrão Cardoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Adolfo Braga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Percy dos Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Percy dos Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Mergulhao FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Percy dos Santos hit a great ball.

The wind increased when Michel Dracena made the kick off in the second half. Michel Dracena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Osvaldo Nóbrega read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Imbura's Luiz Fábio de Alcântara got his second yellow card of the match in the 54th minute. The referee ordered Luiz Fábio de Alcântara off the ground. In the 55th minute, Luiz Fábio de Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waldir Cearense took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Osvaldo Nóbrega. Osvaldo Nóbrega dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 65th minute, Waldir Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michel Dracena struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Osvaldo Nóbrega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mergulhao FC. 69 minutes into the match, Waldir Cearense notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Imbura's Osvaldo Nóbrega. Osvaldo Nóbrega was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Waldir Cearense in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Osvaldo Nóbrega, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 81st minute, Renan Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osvaldo Nóbrega was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Michel Dracena capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Michel Dracena really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Pedrão Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. João Adolfo Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elano Pinheiro hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Waldir Cearense was extremely unlucky when he, in the 95th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mergulhao FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
