Wilian Passos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 31st minute Donato Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisão Mangueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldo de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chumbado EC's Luisão Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo de Queiroz in the 42nd minute of play. João Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilian Passos in the 48th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osvaldo de Queiroz made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Dique's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo de Senna came free, but João Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomás Aguiar's late challenge caught a Dique's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomás Aguiar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th minute, Tomás Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 minutes Chumbado EC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcelinho da Silva who took care of the corner kick. Luisão Mangueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo de Queiroz in the 64th minute of the match. After 67 minutes of play, Dique's Donato Negri made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luisão Mangueira was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dique's goalkeeper João Mota, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Beto de Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Tomás Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilian Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Mota having to interfere. In the 90th minute, João Adolfo Galvão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dique players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chumbado EC.
