Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eliseu Amaral took the kick off in the first half of the match. Luisburgo's José Vítor Batista got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kauan Carneiro got free with Falcão Meireles in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alberto Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Meireles having to interfere. Fausto Baiano hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the game Ciro Valladares kicked a great long shot which passed Falcão Meireles straight ahead into the goal, Result 1-0. One couldn't see Ciro Valladares behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. Kauan Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliseu Amaral in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Quadros saved Luisburgo from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu Amaral in the 21st minute of play forced Luisburgo's goalkeeper Armando Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Amaral in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidnei de Alcântara in the 24th minute of play forced Luisburgo's goalkeeper Armando Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Castanho's Falcão Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Esteves in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th match minute, Luisburgo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Vítor Batista to maneuver through the defense. Kauan Carneiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Falcão Meireles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Fausto Baiano hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Luisburgo's zone, Sidnei de Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Quadros came out of the goal and Sidnei de Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Eliseu Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidnei de Alcântara in the 45th minute of play forced Luisburgo's goalkeeper Armando Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After 50 minutes, Marcinho Cabral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castanho and the Luisburgo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 52 minutes, Kauan Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luisburgo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kauan Carneiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 54th minute Kauan Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Luisburgo booed when Castanho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murilo Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Falcão Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute Castanho were awarded a corner. Clóvis Britto went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that João Francisco Alagoano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Armando Quadros quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Falcão Meireles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Esteves in the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd match minute, Luisburgo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Vítor Batista to maneuver through the defense. Armando Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseu Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Pedro Luiz Tande's late challenge caught a Castanho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Luiz Tande helped the player get up and apologised. After 75 played minutes Luisburgo got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luiz Tande. Armando Quadros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sidnei de Alcântara in the 77th minute. Eliseu Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 81 minutes, Eliseu Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castanho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseu Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eliseu Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Luisburgo getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. José Vítor Batista hit a great ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
