An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Moura in the 4th minute of play forced Quinquelere's goalkeeper Lenílson da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Quinquelere's Davi Novaes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Motta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 7th minute, Davi Novaes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quinquelere fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Hugo Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alfredo Motta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Davi Novaes in the 13th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Severino Mendes to strike the kick off in the second half. Lenílson da Mata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Haroldo de Medeiros's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geovânio Borges during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hugo Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Paiano SC's Nelson Meira got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Davi Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quinquelere's supporters rose to their feet, but Davi Novaes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Motta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hugo Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Davi Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
