After a rather tough play, Marabitanas AD's Rogério Barreto got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 20th minute Filipe Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurício Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramiro Prestes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cléberson Catarinense having to make a save. Cléberson Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Pedro Pimenta, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Marabitanas AD's Cléberson Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pedro Pimenta in the 30th minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Jacarehype's José Pedro Pimenta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cléberson Catarinense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When %teams%'s Filipe Moreira was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-1 just inside the left pole, 46 minutes into the game. Maurício Melo was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filipe Moreira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cléberson Catarinense stood somewhat misplaced when Inácio Linares came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 54 minute. In the 62nd minute, Romário Monteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Marabitanas AD's Cléberson Catarinense got control of the ball when José Pedro Pimenta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maurício Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipe Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Maurício Melo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 76th match minute, Jacarehype was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doni Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 77 minutes, Nilmar de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marabitanas AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilmar de Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Marabitanas AD getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Romário Monteiro hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, Marabitanas AD's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Linares came free, but Cléberson Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marabitanas AD's Cléberson Catarinense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Marabitanas AD from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filipe Moreira in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maurício Melo saved Jacarehype from getting behind. Ramiro Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Linares in the 91st minute of play forced Marabitanas AD's goalkeeper Cléberson Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Inácio Linares in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cléberson Catarinense saved Marabitanas AD from getting behind. Marabitanas AD's Cléberson Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Linares in the 97th minute of play. The Jacarehype players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Marabitanas AD from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
