In the 9th minute Felippe Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 17 minutes, Felippe Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marfinzeiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felippe Leal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Acácio Tróia came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Marfinzeiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Acácio Tróia couldn't finish the play. 24 minutes into the match, Felippe Leal notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Nudrin SC's Telmo Trigo. Telmo Trigo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marfinzeiro's Alan Sampaio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Marfinzeiro from getting a goal against them. If Isaltino Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Perivaldo de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Abel de Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Telmo Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Marfinzeiro were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Acácio Tróia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Trigo having to interfere. Elói Rocha charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elói Rocha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes Nudrin SC got a freekick which was hit by Elói Rocha. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felippe Leal in the 60th minute of play forced Nudrin SC's goalkeeper Telmo Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Nudrin SC's Telmo Trigo got control of the ball when Acácio Tróia tried to sneak it across the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Acácio Tróia notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Nudrin SC's Telmo Trigo. Telmo Trigo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gildo Duarte's late challenge caught a Marfinzeiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
