Rafinha Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Gil Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 10 played minutes Gualibade SS got a freekick which was hit by Rony Braga. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Gil Guimarães successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rafinha Cordeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Gil Guimarães made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Ancari's zone, Fábio Recife stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurinho Damião came out of the goal and Fábio Recife tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sidney Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurinho Damião having to interfere. Rony Braga hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, Ancari's Adrianinho Pirani sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gil Guimarães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rafinha Cordeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gil Guimarães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fábio Recife made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Fábio Recife dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Maurinho Damião, 0-1. Gualibade SS's Gil Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafinha Cordeiro in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafinha Cordeiro in the 65th minute of play forced Gualibade SS's goalkeeper Gil Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Durvalino Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurinho Damião showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio Recife in the 69th minute of the match. Fábio Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gualibade SS's Sidney Maciel got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sidney Maciel got free with Maurinho Damião in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rogério Nogueira charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rogério Nogueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th match minute, Gualibade SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Nogueira to maneuver through the defense.
