In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Coroados FC's goalkeeper Frédson de Barros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Lucas Fernandes came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Pauliceia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Fernandes couldn't finish the play. Reynaldo Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Valério de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Coroados FC booed when Pauliceia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adhemar Mumbach didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th match minute, Coroados FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur Marquez to maneuver through the defense. Valério de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredão Negri in the 17th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Paulo Maia during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th minute, João Paulo Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute of the match Reginaldo Andrade sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frédson de Barros skillfully saved the ball. In the 25th match minute, Coroados FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredão Negri to maneuver through the defense. When Pauliceia's Umberto Valadares in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Olívio Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Umberto Valadares was the one to do the kick off. Reynaldo Urbano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valério de Alcântara having to make a save. Alfredão Negri might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valério de Alcântara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredão Negri ran back to his position shaking his head. Leopoldo Maia scored 2-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frédson de Barros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 64 minutes into the match, Coroados FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Fernandes came free, but Frédson de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frédson de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Fernandes in the 66th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Pauliceia's goalkeeper Valério de Alcântara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reynaldo Urbano. Reynaldo Urbano succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 73rd playminute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredão Negri in the 76th minute of play forced Pauliceia's goalkeeper Valério de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredão Negri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valério de Alcântara having to interfere. Pauliceia's Valério de Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredão Negri in the 86th minute of play. Frédson de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Umberto Valadares in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Fernandes in the 95th minute of play forced Coroados FC's goalkeeper Frédson de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Many of Coroados FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Coroados FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Pauliceia were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
