Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Geraldo Neves got the match started through his kick off. Frédson Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Elano Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 10 minutes, Natanael Bertassi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Federacao SS and the Maturuca EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Federacao SS's Natanael Bertassi got a free kick in the 10th minute. Afonsinho Sena was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Elano Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elano Tepedino, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 13 played minutes Federacao SS got a freekick which was hit by Natanael Bertassi. Maurinho Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Maturuca EC's zone, Geraldo Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Márcio Veloso came out of the goal and Geraldo Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 26 played minutes, Federacao SS's Baltazar Cardozo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Márcio Veloso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Federacao SS reached it. After 27 minutes, Frédson Leão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maturuca EC and the Federacao SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Maturuca EC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Frédson Leão hit a great ball. Geraldo Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Veloso having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Geraldo Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rdth minute of the game Elano Tepedino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Federacao SS's Elano Nóbrega was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elano Tepedino in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elano Nóbrega prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Frédson Leão was shown his second yellow card after 38 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Frédson Leão hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geraldo Neves in the 40th minute of play forced Maturuca EC's goalkeeper Márcio Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Pedrão Maia came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Maturuca EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedrão Maia couldn't finish the play. Federacao SS's Geraldo Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedrão Maia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute of the match, Geraldo Neves tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Márcio Veloso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hamílton Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th match minute, Federacao SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natanael Bertassi to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Federacao SS's zone, Pedrão Maia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elano Nóbrega came out of the goal and Pedrão Maia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Evaristo Tavares during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Maturuca EC's Evaristo Tavares got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Hamílton Perez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Pedrão Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maturuca EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedrão Maia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elano Nóbrega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Evaristo Tavares came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Maturuca EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evaristo Tavares couldn't finish the play. Nando Cardozo hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Maturuca EC's Márcio Veloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to save Maturuca EC from getting a goal against them. When Afonsinho Sena fell near the penalty area in the 100th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maturuca EC's protests and gave Afonsinho Sena a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 100th minute of the game. One of Maturuca EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Federacao SS:s goal. The goalkeeper, Márcio Veloso, was totally fooled by Federacao SS's André Luís Nascimento, who 101 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
