In the 11th minute, Ardeira EC's Jonathan Coutinho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Ardeira EC's Luiz Paulo Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natanael Bertassi in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Ardeira EC booed when Federacao SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Bezerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Elano Nóbrega successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Edu Linares's late challenge caught a Ardeira EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ardeira EC reached it. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonathan Coutinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Elano Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elano Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After 59 played minutes Federacao SS got a freekick which was hit by Natanael Bertassi. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastião Nascimento during the 64th minute. Elano Nóbrega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elano Fontes ran back to his position shaking his head. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ardeira EC had played much better football throughout.
