A collision led to Cacador SS getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Vágner Recife hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo de Souza in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guga Medeiros saved Cacador SS from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elias do Vale got free with Vitório Pinho in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elias do Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Vitório Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cacador SS's Wellington Saldanha in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aguiar FC's goalie prevented a goal. Elias do Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitório Pinho having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Wilton do Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vitório Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wellington Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Joel Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga Medeiros having to interfere. When Aguiar FC's Joel Machado in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Joel Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wellington Saldanha in the 40th minute of play forced Aguiar FC's goalkeeper Vitório Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elias do Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Vitório Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Machado to strike the kick off in the second half. João Adolfo Valladares charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Adolfo Valladares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 53 played minutes Aguiar FC got a freekick which was hit by João Adolfo Valladares. In the 55th match minute, Aguiar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilton do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Cacador SS's Vitório de Azevedo tried to score from far away in the 56th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Paulo de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cacador SS's Guga Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Machado in the 69th minute of play. With his leg Guga Medeiros managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Aguiar FC's Paulo de Souza fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 77th minute, Gonçalo Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Machado struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Guga Medeiros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aguiar FC. Vitório de Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vitório de Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 84th minute of the match João Adolfo Valladares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guga Medeiros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Joel Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the game, Vágner Recife was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cacador SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aguiar FC the free kick. In the 89th match minute, Cacador SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vágner Recife to maneuver through the defense. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
