The supporters of Cocau AD booed when Balaco EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 37 played minutes Eriberto Perez rounded Balaco EC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Elói Botelho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Maria de Barros went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Elói Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Maria de Barros in the 48th minute of play. The Cocau AD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Balaco EC were winning 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adalmo Massa was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Balaco EC's Adalmo Massa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elói Botelho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Balaco EC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
