After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Fabiano Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Turmalina's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabiano Paranaense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elói Botelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geovanni Rocha charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geovanni Rocha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cocau AD getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Geovanni Rocha hit a great ball. After 12 played minutes Cocau AD got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Vergílio. In the 16th minute, Miguel Gaúcho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elói Botelho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Turmalina's goalkeeper Erivaldo Toledo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dadá de Godoy. If Eriberto Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Dadá de Godoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25th play minutes Eriberto Perez shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Erivaldo Toledo and just under the crossbar into goal. Elói Botelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano Paranaense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dadá de Godoy might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erivaldo Toledo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dadá de Godoy ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Paranaense in the 35th minute of play forced Cocau AD's goalkeeper Elói Botelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas Lira charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonas Lira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th minute there was a penalty for Turmalina. Matheus Castro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Elói Botelho. 1-2. With his leg Erivaldo Toledo managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Cocau AD's Dadá de Godoy fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 46th minute, Dadá de Godoy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cocau AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eriberto Perez was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Flavinho Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dadá de Godoy in the 54th minute of play forced Turmalina's goalkeeper Erivaldo Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erivaldo Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erivaldo Toledo came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Cocau AD's Dadá de Godoy. But to his dismay, Dadá de Godoy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Erivaldo Toledo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eriberto Perez went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. If Eriberto Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dadá de Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elder Baptista during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Turmalina's Elder Baptista got a free kick in the 74th minute. If Fabiano Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Turmalina's Erivaldo Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Perez in the 81st minute of play. In the 85th minute Eriberto Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erivaldo Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dadá de Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eriberto Perez struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Erivaldo Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cocau AD. Fabiano Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cocau AD's zone, Fabiano Paranaense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elói Botelho came out of the goal and Fabiano Paranaense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cocau AD had played much better football throughout.
