Gigante da Colina's Juan Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelinho Linares in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Tucuriba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Nogueira came free, but Frederico Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Gigante da Colina's Eriberto Leme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frederico Loyola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Cristiano Nogueira might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frederico Loyola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristiano Nogueira ran back to his position shaking his head. After 21 minutes, Eriberto Leme made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Tucuriba FC's Frederico Loyola tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Juan Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edinho Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristiano Nogueira was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 27th minute. Gigante da Colina's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 29th minute, Eriberto Leme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Iuri Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Gigante da Colina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iuri Queirós couldn't finish the play. Cristiano Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Frederico Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute Gigante da Colina were awarded a corner. Cristiano Nogueira went to the cornerflag to take it. Eriberto Leme hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After 37 minutes, Umberto Gaúcho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gigante da Colina and the Tucuriba FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Gigante da Colina getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Umberto Gaúcho hit a great ball. Tucuriba FC's Frederico Loyola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Tucuriba FC from getting a goal against them. Flavinho Diniz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 44th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Frederico Loyola was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Cristiano Nogueira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristiano Nogueira really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When Gigante da Colina's Eriberto Leme in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Gigante da Colina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Eriberto Leme struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Frederico Loyola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gigante da Colina. Gigante da Colina's Cristiano Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eriberto Leme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the game, José Pedro Gerber was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tucuriba FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gigante da Colina the free kick. José Pedro Gerber hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Tucuriba FC defense, Cristiano Nogueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frederico Loyola. The Tucuriba FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frederico Loyola should have stopped the shot. In the 70th minute, Edu Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the game, Cristiano Nogueira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Frederico Loyola was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gigante da Colina's Cristiano Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
