Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dedê dos Santos started the match with the kick off. Mirilandia's Álvaro Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dedê dos Santos in the 3rd minute of play. Álvaro Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedê dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mirilandia's Elias Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Dedê dos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Coculo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dedê dos Santos couldn't finish the play. Zé Carlos Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Carlos Meirelles in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Álvaro Cardozo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Álvaro Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Meirelles in the 25th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Mirilandia's Albertinho Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luizão Gerber made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robinho Silva during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Coculo booed when Mirilandia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robinho Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34thth minute of the game Zé Carlos Meirelles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mirilandia's Álvaro Cardozo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 38th minute, Chicão Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elias Pinheiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luizão Gerber read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Coculo getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. José Augusto Zonta hit a great ball. Álvaro Cardozo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dedê dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Elias Pinheiro made the kick off in the second half. Albertinho Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizão Gerber having to interfere. Álvaro Cardozo made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Zé Carlos Meirelles sent off a good shot on target. After 66 played minutes Mirilandia got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Rossi. Elias Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Coculo's goalkeeper Luizão Gerber, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luizão Gerber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Montenegro in the 74th minute of the match. Luizão Gerber came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Mirilandia's Elias Pinheiro. But to his dismay, Elias Pinheiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Albertinho Montenegro took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luizão Gerber. Luizão Gerber dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Albertinho Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luizão Gerber. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albertinho Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Zé Carlos Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Álvaro Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Coculo's Dedê dos Santos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Álvaro Cardozo. That made the score 3-2 after 90 minutes of play. 94 minutes into the game, Lauro Damião was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Coculo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mirilandia the free kick. The supporters of Mirilandia booed when Coculo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauro Damião didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Mirilandia had won after a very even match.
