Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dedê dos Santos took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Dedê dos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Coculo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dedê dos Santos couldn't finish the play. José Augusto Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Carlos Meirelles got free with Noel Favoretto in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 15 minutes of play, Montevideu's Ademar Miranda made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luizão Gerber was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Montevideu's zone, Dedê dos Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noel Favoretto came out of the goal and Dedê dos Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dedê dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Favoretto having to interfere. Zé Carlos Meirelles made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 23rdth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Noel Favoretto would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. If Diogo Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Noel Favoretto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chicão Pitta in the 27th minute of play. Montevideu's Noel Favoretto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dedê dos Santos in the 34th minute of play. Zé Carlos Meirelles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Noel Favoretto having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arlindo Marques during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Montevideu's Arlindo Marques got a free kick in the 37th minute. Montevideu's Noel Favoretto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dedê dos Santos in the 38th minute of play. Válter Valladares's late challenge caught a Coculo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Válter Valladares helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th minute, Válter Valladares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Montevideu's Noel Favoretto got control of the ball when Zé Carlos Meirelles tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th match minute, Montevideu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arlindo Marques to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ademar Miranda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zé Carlos Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Noel Favoretto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Coculo's attack was well implemented in the 52nd minute, but when Dedê dos Santos was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dedê dos Santos in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Noel Favoretto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 71st match minute, Coculo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chicão Pitta to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Coculo's goalkeeper Luizão Gerber had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diogo Vale. Dedê dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Zé Carlos Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Noel Favoretto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Meirelles in the 82nd minute of play. Noel Favoretto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos Meirelles in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 87th minute Zé Carlos Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Favoretto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd match minute, Montevideu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válter Valladares to maneuver through the defense. Dedê dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Coculo booed when Montevideu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válter Valladares didn't get a good kick on the ball.
