An unexpectedly hard shot by Elói Ribeiro in the 8th minute of play forced Deserto SC's goalkeeper Américo de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Víktor Meirelles fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palestina's protests and gave Víktor Meirelles a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Palestina's Víktor Meirelles got a free kick in the 14th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Deserto SC's Tales Abraão broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Elói Ribeiro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Américo de Amaral. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Deserto SC's goalkeeper Américo de Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vitório Linhares. Elói Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo de Amaral having to interfere. After 30 played minutes Deserto SC got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Berger. The long shot by Aleandro Zilles in the 30th minute really tested Américo de Amaral's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Américo de Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elói Ribeiro's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Américo de Amaral made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Vitório Linhares sent off a good shot on target. Sílvio Luís Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th match minute, Deserto SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Berger to maneuver through the defense. Tales Abraão's late challenge caught a Palestina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tales Abraão helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Palestina booed when Deserto SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tales Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Vitório Linhares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Américo de Amaral. Deserto SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vitório Linhares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 52 minutes, Betão França mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deserto SC and the Palestina players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Palestina booed when Deserto SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betão França didn't get a good kick on the ball. Américo de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elói Ribeiro in the 54th minute of the match. Erik Cearense hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute, Alex Damião hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aleandro Zilles took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Américo de Amaral. Deserto SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Elói Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Américo de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tales Abraão was shown his second yellow card after 66 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. When Palestina's Vitório Linhares in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deserto SC's goalie prevented a goal. Vitório Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo de Amaral having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Elói Ribeiro put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Américo de Amaral. Américo de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Linhares in the 80th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Vitório Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palestina's supporters rose to their feet, but Vitório Linhares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Américo de Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vitório Linhares took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Américo de Amaral. Américo de Amaral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. 5-0 became the score in the 87th minute when Elói Ribeiro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Vitório Linhares made a precise shot to the right of Américo de Amaral. Deserto SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Deserto SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Palestina.
