When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Luiz Gustavo Domingues took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Ricardo Abraão to make any attempt to save it. When Rafa Donato fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Renegados's protests and gave Rafa Donato a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th match minute, Renegados was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Donato to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Abraão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertinho Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Tapecu's Ricardo Abraão got control of the ball when Jaime Trevisan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st minute, Tales Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Gustavo Domingues in the 22nd minute of play forced Tapecu's goalkeeper Ricardo Abraão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaime Trevisan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Abraão having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tapecu's zone, Luiz Gustavo Domingues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Abraão came out of the goal and Luiz Gustavo Domingues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaime Trevisan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Abraão having to interfere. Luiz Gustavo Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Gustavo Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ricardo Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eusébio Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Renegados's goalkeeper Dorian de Lima, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Gugu Leite came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Tapecu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gugu Leite couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Renegados getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Rafa Donato hit a great ball.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Trevisan in the 52nd minute of play forced Tapecu's goalkeeper Ricardo Abraão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 58th minute Jaime Trevisan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Luiz Gustavo Domingues left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Renegados fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. If Kléberson Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorian de Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gugu Leite in the 72nd minute of play. Luiz Gustavo Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu Leite in the 76th minute of play forced Renegados's goalkeeper Dorian de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute of the match, Gugu Leite tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dorian de Lima saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 78 minutes, Gugu Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tapecu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gugu Leite was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute Kléberson Tróia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Eusébio Freire fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Gustavo Domingues in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Abraão saved Tapecu from getting behind. There was no doubt that Renegados were the better team. Renegados's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
