Durvalino Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guto Gomes in the 6th minute of play. Juninho Guerra thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Durvalino Cardozo, a very annoying self made goal in the 7th minute which led to 0-1. José Vítor Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durvalino Cardozo having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, MaconhaFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Vítor Senna to maneuver through the defense. Durvalino Cardozo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guto Gomes went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 31st minute José Vítor Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durvalino Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfredo Nóbrega in the 33rd minute of play forced Jaguarembe FC's goalkeeper Durvalino Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Luís Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Manfredo Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Durvalino Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wellington Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, MaconhaFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mazinho Brodel came free, but Dário Palmeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MaconhaFC's Dário Palmeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Melo in the 45th minute of play. The supporters of Jaguarembe FC booed when MaconhaFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Vítor Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute of the match Jaime Negri sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dário Palmeira skillfully saved the ball.

Manfredo Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durvalino Cardozo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in MaconhaFC's zone, Mazinho Brodel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dário Palmeira came out of the goal and Mazinho Brodel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Jaguarembe FC's Durvalino Cardozo got control of the ball when Manfredo Nóbrega tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manfredo Nóbrega blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Durvalino Cardozo having to make a save. Pedro Luís Galvão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Durvalino Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Vítor Senna hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. If Manfredo Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Negri's late challenge caught a MaconhaFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaime Negri helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jaguarembe FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! Durvalino Cardozo was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Guto Gomes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Guto Gomes really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. 85 minutes into the game, Wellington Galvão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MaconhaFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jaguarembe FC the free kick. In the 85th match minute, MaconhaFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wellington Galvão to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Guto Gomes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Durvalino Cardozo. That made the score 0-5 in the 88 minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Manfredo Nóbrega got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sílvio Luiz Faustino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Dário Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Durvalino Cardozo managed to avoid a goal in the 97thth minute, when MaconhaFC's Manfredo Nóbrega fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. MaconhaFC played a much better game than Jaguarembe FC and deserved their victory. The Jaguarembe FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
