In the 37th minute, Guto Gomes made a precise shot to the right of Guto Albuquerque. Araquari SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Jefferson Tande hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the match, MaconhaFC's Pedro Luís Galvão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guto Albuquerque narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Araquari SS's zone, Pedro Luís Galvão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guto Albuquerque came out of the goal and Pedro Luís Galvão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Araquari SS defense, Guto Gomes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guto Albuquerque. The Araquari SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guto Albuquerque should have stopped the shot. Araquari SS's Guto Albuquerque played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guto Gomes in the 79th minute of play. Tomás Neto struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Guto Albuquerque didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MaconhaFC. Albertinho Cunha's late challenge caught a Araquari SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
