The referee ignored Jatal's protests and gave Lúcio Madureira a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Jatal's Lúcio Madureira got a free kick in the 10th minute. Gil Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Crateus FC's Doni Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil Silva in the 17th minute of play. Dinei Couto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doni Nunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 27th minute, Thomás Bertassi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lúcio Madureira got his second yellow card in the match during the 28th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 29 played minutes Jatal got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Madureira. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Téo Bueno during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 31st match minute, Crateus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Téo Bueno to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago Couto in the 33rd minute of play forced Crateus FC's goalkeeper Doni Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Thiago Couto notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Crateus FC's Doni Nunes. Doni Nunes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 38 minutes into the match, Crateus FC's Thomás Bertassi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauro de Andrade narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Jatal's zone, Thomás Bertassi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro de Andrade came out of the goal and Thomás Bertassi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When Kaká França came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Crateus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaká França couldn't finish the play. Gil Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute of the match Felippe Abreu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mauro de Andrade skillfully saved the ball. In the 65th minute, Gil Silva made a precise shot to the right of Doni Nunes. Crateus FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. If Dinei Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kaká França's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauro de Andrade read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Mauro de Andrade stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kaká França's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. If Dinei Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dráuzio do Valle came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Jatal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráuzio do Valle couldn't finish the play. If Daniel Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thomás Bertassi in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauro de Andrade saved Jatal from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomás Bertassi in the 85th minute of play forced Jatal's goalkeeper Mauro de Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Thomás Bertassi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Mauro de Andrade was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kaká França in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauro de Andrade saved Jatal from getting behind. Mauro de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaká França in the 93rd minute of the match. Jatal's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
