Muta AD:s Sabino de Amaral showed great skill when he stopped Adalberto Santos:s penalty. Sabino de Amaral came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Jacareipe's Adalberto Santos. But to his dismay, Adalberto Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Jacareipe's Adalmo Meireles slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sabino de Amaral. That made the score 2-1 after 19 minutes of play. Gláuber Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Sabino de Amaral made a huge save. After having played for 23 minutes, Adalmo Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jacareipe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adalmo Meireles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute, Muta AD's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gláuber Vale fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adalmo Meireles in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sabino de Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30thth minute of the game Gláuber Vale who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Muta AD's Sabino de Amaral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, Jacareipe's Sabino de Amaral threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adalmo Meireles, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gláuber Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Sabino de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adalmo Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabino de Amaral having to interfere. Gláuber Vale came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sabino de Amaral could save by the left post. Sabino de Amaral made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Gláuber Vale sent off a good shot on target. When Jacareipe's Adalmo Meireles in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Muta AD's goalie prevented a goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dadá Mattos was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalmo Meireles in the 94th minute of play forced Muta AD's goalkeeper Sabino de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adalmo Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabino de Amaral having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Jacareipe fans cheered their team off the field, for while Muta AD had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
