Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Guaicuhy's Jeferson Toledo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, Ceara EC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeferson Toledo came free, but Wellington Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Jefferson Macedo notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Ceara EC's Wellington Gomes. Wellington Gomes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 28th match minute, Guaicuhy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guto Valadares to maneuver through the defense. Paulinho de Almeida might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dé Tavares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulinho de Almeida ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34th minute Jefferson Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Ceara EC's Paulinho de Almeida nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dé Tavares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Dé Tavares came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Ceara EC's Paulinho de Almeida. But to his dismay, Paulinho de Almeida quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After the first half Ceara EC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Paulinho de Almeida made the kick off in the second half. Sílvio Luís Fonseca charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sílvio Luís Fonseca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th match minute, Guaicuhy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luís Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 69 in the game by Conrado Linares from a close distance when the talented Dé Tavares managed to make a qualified save. Guaicuhy's players were relieved. Wellington Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeferson Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Conrado Linares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dé Tavares was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Dé Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulinho de Almeida in the 78th minute of play. When Kléberson Santos fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guaicuhy's protests and gave Kléberson Santos a yellow card for diving instead. Kléberson Santos hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Ceara EC's Wellington Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeferson Toledo in the 89th minute of play. Jefferson Macedo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wellington Gomes having to make a save.
