After 2 played minutes Guaicuhy got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luís Fonseca. Guaicuhy's Dé Tavares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Guaicuhy from getting a goal against them. Cássio Fantini might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dé Tavares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cássio Fantini ran back to his position shaking his head. Cássio Fantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guto Valadares hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Pasta SS's Sidnei Linhares got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sidnei Linhares got free with Dé Tavares in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Luizão Urbano fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guaicuhy's protests and gave Luizão Urbano a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pasta SS booed when Guaicuhy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizão Urbano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Guaicuhy's Jeferson Toledo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ramón Brodel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 33rd minute, Sidnei Linhares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th minute Jeferson Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramón Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeferson Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 39 minutes, Simão Tinoco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pasta SS and the Guaicuhy players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ramón Brodel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeferson Toledo in the 40th minute of the match. After 41 played minutes Pasta SS got a freekick which was hit by Simão Tinoco. In the 46th minute, Jeferson Toledo made a precise shot to the right of Ramón Brodel. Pasta SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeferson Toledo to make the kick off. Kléberson Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Juarês Prado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dé Tavares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. In the 58th minute of the match, Jefferson Macedo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ramón Brodel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cássio Fantini took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dé Tavares. Dé Tavares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. 76 minutes into the match, Pasta SS's Sidnei Linhares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dé Tavares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 80th minute Jeferson Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramón Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cássio Fantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Guaicuhy's Dé Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Fantini in the 88th minute of play. Pasta SS were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Guaicuhy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Juarês Prado took the corner. Guto Valadares charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guto Valadares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jefferson Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ramón Brodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guaicuhy's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
