If Conrado Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Conrado Linares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulinho de Almeida hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Sidnei Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pasta SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Sidnei Linhares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wellington Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 21 minutes into the match, Conrado Linares notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pasta SS's Ramón Brodel. Ramón Brodel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th minute, Cássio Fantini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Sidnei Linhares notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ceara EC's Wellington Gomes. Wellington Gomes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Paulinho de Almeida struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Ramón Brodel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ceara EC. When Guto Teles fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ceara EC's protests and gave Guto Teles a yellow card for diving instead. Guto Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Ceara EC's goalkeeper Wellington Gomes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sidnei Linhares. Sidnei Linhares struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Wellington Gomes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pasta SS. Conrado Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cássio Fantini stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pasta SS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Paulinho de Almeida scored to the left of an out of position Ramón Brodel, making the score, 1-2. Conrado Linares's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ramón Brodel firmly grabbed it by the left post. Paulinho de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ceara EC booed when Pasta SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breno Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 71 minutes, Serafim Massa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pasta SS and the Ceara EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ceara EC booed when Pasta SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafim Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute, Conrado Linares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 79 minutes, Cássio Fantini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pasta SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cássio Fantini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th match minute, Ceara EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oséias Lago to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Pasta SS's Simão Tinoco got a free kick in the 86th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Pasta SS's goalkeeper Ramón Brodel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conrado Linares. When Gino de Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ceara EC's protests and gave Gino de Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ceara EC! Wellington Gomes had in the 92ndth minute some difficulties stopping Juarês Prado's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
