Dida Berger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Negri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. If Aírton Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute Aírton Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Digo Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Nobre AD's zone, Tomás do Valle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Negri came out of the goal and Tomás do Valle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rafael Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dida Berger in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Victor de Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafael Negri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dida Berger, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 42nd minute, Germano Fontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Dida Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Serrota's supporters rose to their feet, but Dida Berger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Negri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 51 played minutes Nobre AD got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Seco. In the 58th minute, Tomás do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aírton Gerber struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Digo Saldanha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nobre AD. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomás do Valle got free with Rafael Negri in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dida Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Rafael Negri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Tomás do Valle notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Nobre AD's Rafael Negri. Rafael Negri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rafael Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dida Berger in the 78th minute of the match. Luiz Paulo Fernandes's late challenge caught a Serrota's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dida Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serrota's Digo Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aírton Gerber in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Serrota's Tomás do Valle dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Serrota's Leonel Maciel got a free kick in the 91st minute. The Nobre AD supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Serrota's performance. The match ended with a win for Serrota.
