Fraga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Bertassi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kléberson Ramalho made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Alexandre Bertassi sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Ibitirama FC's zone, Serginho Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kléberson Ramalho came out of the goal and Serginho Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tony Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Eduardo Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ibitirama FC's Tony Vides got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rdth minute of the game Serginho Lara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibitirama FC's Kléberson Ramalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alexandre Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Kléberson Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kléberson Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serginho Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Serginho Lara made a kick off. Serginho Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Kléberson Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Serginho Lara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kléberson Ramalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Ibitirama FC's goal looked a bit too open when Serginho Lara came free, but Kléberson Ramalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serginho Lara in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kléberson Ramalho saved Ibitirama FC from getting behind. Tostão Leão hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Kléberson Ramalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Bertassi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 64 played minutes Ibitirama FC got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Moreira. Alexandre Bertassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléberson Ramalho having to interfere. Alexandre Bertassi might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kléberson Ramalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandre Bertassi ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Fraga booed when Ibitirama FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Serginho Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kléberson Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Bertassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute.
