Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Perivaldo Loureiro started the match with the kick off. If Ronaldão Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Porto having to interfere. Nuno Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Leonardo Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Cavalcante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Reginaldo Vander fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montanha's protests and gave Reginaldo Vander a yellow card for diving instead. Reginaldo Vander hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Montanha's Leonardo Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Cavalcante in the 21st minute of play. If Perivaldo Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Montanha's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Cavalcante came free, but Leonardo Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Evaristo Xavier struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Glauco Lopez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montanha. 34 minutes into the match, Montanha's Perivaldo Loureiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Glauco Lopez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nuno Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Leonardo Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Glauco Lopez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 40th minute, Zézinho Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Rocha to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Paulo Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taciba's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Rocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonardo Porto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nuno Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonardo Porto came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Taciba's Paulo Rocha. But to his dismay, Paulo Rocha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Silvério Zilles hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute of the match Emanuel Tróia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonardo Porto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 64th minute, Zézinho Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Taciba's Paulo Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Montanha's Douglas Tasso got a free kick in the 66th minute. Nuno Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Leonardo Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Porto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Rocha's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Zézinho Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Taciba's Emanuel Tróia shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 72nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Leonardo Porto but with some difficulty. Leonardo Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Rocha in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Taciba's Paulo Rocha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonardo Porto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Paulo Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nuno Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Leonardo Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Porto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nuno Cavalcante went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Nuno Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90thth minute of the game Paulo Rocha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montanha's Leonardo Porto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paulo Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Montanha's zone, Paulo Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Porto came out of the goal and Paulo Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zézinho Tavares was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 97 played minutes, Taciba's Emanuel Tróia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leonardo Porto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Taciba reached it. Taciba's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
