Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alexandre Veloso took the kick off in the first half of the match. Deivid Corrêa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Zé Augusto Paraibano made a huge save. After 3 minutes, Raí Antunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maricoabo and the Taxaquara players grew even worse after the yellow card. Maricoabo's Zé Augusto Paraibano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Maricoabo from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Taxaquara booed when Maricoabo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raí Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Deivid Corrêa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taxaquara's supporters rose to their feet, but Deivid Corrêa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Augusto Paraibano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adelino Zanette charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adelino Zanette the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th minute, Adelino Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anselmo Pimenta's late challenge caught a Taxaquara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anselmo Pimenta helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Maricoabo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Taxaquara:s goal. Oscar Carioca shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Zé Augusto Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kauan Paraense in the 11th minute of the match. Carlinhos Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kauan Paraense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the game, Deivid Corrêa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zé Augusto Paraibano. Deivid Corrêa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 32nd minute, Maricoabo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Deivid Corrêa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a little luck, Maricoabo's Zé Augusto Paraibano got control of the ball when Deivid Corrêa tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Deivid Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Maricoabo's Anselmo Pimenta got a free kick in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauan Paraense in the 42nd minute of play forced Maricoabo's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Paraibano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enéas Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlinhos Mendes in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Rogério Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlinhos Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Enéas Lucas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Maricoabo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kauan Paraense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Zé Augusto Paraibano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deivid Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
