In the 16th minute, Nuno Travassos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Régis Valle was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Elano Mangueira in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Régis Valle, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Luiz Guilherme Rezende hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Murilo do Vale's shot from long distance in the 26th minute was not bad at all, but Jaua SC's Régis Valle knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Carlos Amaral to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Jaua SC's Emerson Leão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kaká Rosado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Murilo do Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. When Elano Mangueira fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Imbu AD's protests and gave Elano Mangueira a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Imbu AD's Elano Mangueira got a free kick in the 77th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emerson Leão got free with Kaká Rosado in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Régis Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Travassos in the 80th minute of the match.
