Penamar's Tony Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erivaldo Fonseca in the 5th minute of play. The audience was convinced that João Paulo Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tony Rossi was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Nando Reis hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 9th match minute, Lagoa Danta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Bueno to maneuver through the defense. Murillo Matorin scored 1-2 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Váldson Moreno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Penamar's zone, João Paulo Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tony Rossi came out of the goal and João Paulo Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Murillo Matorin struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Váldson Moreno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Penamar. Váldson Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murillo Matorin in the 92nd minute of the match. Váldson Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo José Machado in the 93rd minute of play. Murillo Matorin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 98 minutes of play, Lagoa Danta's João Paulo Santos made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tony Rossi was left in no man's land by his defense there!
