Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Henrique Mello took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ortigeira's zone, Elano Catarinense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeu de Queirós came out of the goal and Elano Catarinense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romeu de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrique Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henrique Mello blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romeu de Queirós having to make a save. Ismael Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Felippe Silveira, 16 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. João Adolfo Fontes hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Ortigeira's Romeu de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Pedro Mendonça in the 30th minute of play. Romeu de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Mello in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agnaldo Simões to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, João Adolfo Fontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ortigeira and the Taborda AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Henrique Mello blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romeu de Queirós having to make a save. When Ortigeira's Agnaldo Simões in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 87th minute, João Adolfo Fontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Ortigeira booed when Taborda AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juninho Zilles didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95 played minutes Taborda AD got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Neto. Taborda AD's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
