Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ubanheira SS's Bernardinho de Sena started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Manoel Esteves charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manoel Esteves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Ubanheira SS's Manoel Esteves got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 17th match minute, Ortigeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão Prado to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Bernardinho de Sena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ernani Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Romeu de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Adolfo Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Wanderson Quadros was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 30th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 31 played minutes Ubanheira SS got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Ceresso. 34 minutes into the match, Ubanheira SS's goalkeeper José Medeiros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simão Prado. When Rubinho Ceresso fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ubanheira SS's protests and gave Rubinho Ceresso a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ortigeira booed when Ubanheira SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubinho Ceresso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Otávio Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agnaldo Simões to make the kick off. If Bernardinho de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeu de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardinho de Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romeu de Queirós made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Ernani Santos sent off a good shot on target. Ernani Santos struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Romeu de Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ubanheira SS. Ortigeira's Romeu de Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Ortigeira from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Ubanheira SS's zone, Agnaldo Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Medeiros came out of the goal and Agnaldo Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute Simão Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute Bernardinho de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeu de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Otávio Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ortigeira's Otávio Teles pulled a muscle in his back after 92 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sílvio Luiz Baiano during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 93rd match minute, Ubanheira SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luiz Baiano to maneuver through the defense. José Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Prado in the 97th minute of play. Ubanheira SS were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Ortigeira to leave the ground with a draw.
