Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) When Norberto Valladares fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chapelao's protests and gave Norberto Valladares a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, Norberto Valladares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 6 played minutes, Chorao AD's Osvaldo Magalhães shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Raúl Coelho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chorao AD reached it. In the 7th minute, Chorao AD's Durvalino Bertassi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Dito Senna was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 11 minutes into the match. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chorao AD! In the 13th minute there was a penalty for Chapelao. Christian Tavares stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alfredo dos Santos. 1-1. Raúl Coelho came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Chorao AD's Donatello Rodrigues. But to his dismay, Donatello Rodrigues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Severino Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Raúl Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Chorao AD's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Quadros came free, but Alfredo dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 played minutes Chorao AD got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Carlos Pinheiro. After a defensive mix-up in Chapelao's zone, Severino Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raúl Coelho came out of the goal and Severino Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, Chorao AD's Severino Rocha ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Raúl Coelho. Raúl Coelho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Alfredo dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Quadros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodrigo Quadros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Chorao AD's goalkeeper Alfredo dos Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo Quadros. Severino Rocha struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Raúl Coelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chorao AD. After having played for 57 minutes, Severino Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chorao AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severino Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antônio Carlos Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Coelho having to interfere. Raúl Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Rocha in the 61st minute of play. Chapelao's Luís Gustavo Hames got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severino Rocha struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Raúl Coelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chorao AD. Severino Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rodrigo Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute Donatello Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chapelao's goalkeeper Raúl Coelho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Severino Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Chorao AD were the better team. Chorao AD's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
