Wágner Palmeira hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute of the match, Fiori Paulista tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Baltazar Amaral saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar Arantes in the 15th minute of play forced HAMMERFALL F.C.'s goalkeeper Baltazar Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. HAMMERFALL F.C.'s Nico Paiva got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Ezequiel Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ezequiel Mesquita's late challenge caught a Espigao FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ezequiel Mesquita helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Espigao FC booed when HAMMERFALL F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Mesquita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elano Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltazar Amaral having to interfere. Tadeu Sá struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Jerônimo de Queiroz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HAMMERFALL F.C.. In the 36th minute, Leonel Albuquerque made a precise shot to the right of Jerônimo de Queiroz. Espigao FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Falcão Mesquita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Baltazar Amaral. HAMMERFALL F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Leonel Albuquerque recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wágner Palmeira in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jerônimo de Queiroz saved Espigao FC from getting behind. After having played for 44 minutes, Tadeu Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HAMMERFALL F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeu Sá was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 48th minute of the match Falcão Mesquita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baltazar Amaral showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tadeu Sá to make the kick off. Ezequiel Mesquita kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Paulo Terra kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Nico Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baltazar Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fiori Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th match minute, Espigao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Castro to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Tadeu Sá made a precise shot to the right of Jerônimo de Queiroz. Espigao FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 71st minute, HAMMERFALL F.C.'s Afonso Martins ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jerônimo de Queiroz. Jerônimo de Queiroz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Tadeu Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Jerônimo de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nico Paiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baltazar Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Vergílio, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Tadeu Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonel Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerônimo de Queiroz having to interfere. Tadeu Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Jerônimo de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over HAMMERFALL F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Espigao FC throughout the match.
