The referee ignored Mad Max FC's protests and gave Oswaldo Brito a yellow card for diving instead. Oswaldo Brito hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Alfredo Cosme scored 0-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tunç Baybars, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Cristóvão Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mad Max FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristóvão Sabóia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fellipe Nunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Cristóvão Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute.
