The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Célio Lima came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Madruga F.C's Tomás Nóbrega. But to his dismay, Tomás Nóbrega quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Maicon Arósio fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Madruga F.C's protests and gave Maicon Arósio a yellow card for diving instead. Tomás Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Célio Lima having to interfere. When Mazinho de Barros came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Real Madruga F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mazinho de Barros couldn't finish the play. Gilson Vander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliézer Xavier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Real Madruga F.C's Gilson Vander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Real Madruga F.C from getting a goal against them. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Célio Lima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After a rather tough play, Eremetu's Luizinho Xavier got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute, Raphael Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo José Motta in the 82nd minute of play forced Real Madruga F.C's goalkeeper Gilson Vander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomás Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Real Madruga F.C's Gilson Vander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliézer Xavier in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo José Motta in the 89th minute of play forced Real Madruga F.C's goalkeeper Gilson Vander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adolfo Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilson Vander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Hermes in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Madruga F.C's goalkeeper Gilson Vander, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Real Madruga F.C's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Eremetu had won, even though Real Madruga F.C had held more of the ball.
