The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, José Vítor Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mansinha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Vítor Pena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Mansinha FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Egídio Castro hit a great ball. Pedro Augusto Meirelles didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Mansinha FC's José Vítor Pena shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Dalmo Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute Valdemar Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Augusto Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliézer Lira in the 27th minute of play forced Mansinha FC's goalkeeper Erivaldo Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cibrao's Eliézer Lira in 31 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Erivaldo Araújo guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After 45 minutes, José Vítor Pena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mansinha FC and the Cibrao players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mansinha FC's José Vítor Pena got a free kick in the 45th minute. Eliézer Lira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erivaldo Araújo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eliézer Lira to strike the kick off in the second half. After 56 minutes Mansinha FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hermínio do Valle who took care of the corner kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dalmo Tepedino in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erivaldo Araújo saved Mansinha FC from getting behind. 60 minutes into the match, Mansinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmo Tepedino came free, but Erivaldo Araújo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mansinha FC's zone, Eliézer Lira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erivaldo Araújo came out of the goal and Eliézer Lira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliézer Lira in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erivaldo Araújo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Mansinha FC's goalkeeper Erivaldo Araújo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Cibrao's Eliézer Lira in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mansinha FC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Mansinha FC booed when Cibrao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Washington Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute Dalmo Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erivaldo Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oséias Pinheiro in the 88th minute of play forced Mansinha FC's goalkeeper Erivaldo Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdemar Marques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Pedro Augusto Meirelles made a huge save. Erivaldo Araújo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalmo Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dalmo Tepedino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dalmo Tepedino might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erivaldo Araújo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dalmo Tepedino ran back to his position shaking his head. Cibrao's Eliézer Lira got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 96 minutes into the game, Pedro Ferreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mansinha FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cibrao the free kick. Pedro Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Although Cibrao had been in control for most of the match, Mansinha FC still came away with the win.
