The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes Invernada got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Sampaio. 5 minutes into the match, Invernada's goalkeeper Hamílton Cardoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armindo Neves. In the 8th minute, Capoeiro SC's Marcus Paiva ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hamílton Cardoso. Hamílton Cardoso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Armindo Nevess short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Hamílton Cardoso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 17 minutes into the match, Invernada's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus Paiva came free, but Hamílton Cardoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Capoeiro SC's Chico Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Vides in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Marcus Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Vides struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Chico Moura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Invernada. Washington Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Hamílton Cardoso made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Armindo Neves sent off a good shot on target. In the 33rd play minute Armindo Neves came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Hamílton Cardoso. 2-0. In the 37th minute Luiz Gustavo Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcus Paiva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hamílton Cardoso having to make a save. After 44 played minutes Marcus Paiva rounded Invernada's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Marcus Paiva made the kick off in the second half. Luís Paulo Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Capoeiro SC's Armindo Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th match minute, Invernada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Gustavo Borges to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 62 minutes, Armindo Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capoeiro SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armindo Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Júlio Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Moura having to interfere. Luiz Gustavo Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Invernada's Hamílton Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Paiva in the 69th minute of play. Hamílton Cardoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the game, Jeferson Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
