Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jacinto Prestes made the kick off which started today's match. In the 6th minute, Luís Paulo Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benedito Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 10th match minute, Lascadinha SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Washington Carioca to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute Jacinto Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Lascadinha SS's goalkeeper Sydney Branco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Fernando Sampaio. In the 22nd match minute, Lascadinha SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Washington Carioca to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Invernada's Júlio Vides dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Invernada's zone, Benedito Rosado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamílton Cardoso came out of the goal and Benedito Rosado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Júlio Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot. Invernada's supporters rose to their feet, but Júlio Vides was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sydney Branco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Délio Paes kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Luiz Gustavo Borges managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. If Benedito Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sydney Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Vides in the 45th minute of play. After 46 played minutes Lascadinha SS got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Faustino. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Gustavo Borges to make the kick off. Júlio Vides took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sydney Branco. Sydney Branco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 59 minutes into the match, Invernada's goalkeeper Hamílton Cardoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedito Rosado. With a little luck, Invernada's Hamílton Cardoso got control of the ball when Benedito Rosado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hamílton Cardoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benedito Rosado in the 62nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Gustavo Borges in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sydney Branco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sydney Branco came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Invernada's Júlio Vides. But to his dismay, Júlio Vides quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After some careless play in the Lascadinha SS defense, Júlio Vides kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sydney Branco. The Lascadinha SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sydney Branco should have stopped the shot. Jacinto Prestes hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After having played for 79 minutes, Benedito Rosado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lascadinha SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benedito Rosado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Invernada's Luís Paulo Melo got a free kick in the 85th minute. A collision led to Lascadinha SS getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Délio Paes hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, Jacinto Prestes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 94 played minutes Invernada got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Gustavo Borges. After 97 minutes, Délio Paes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lascadinha SS and the Invernada players grew even worse after the yellow card. Délio Paes kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
