The Palestra Itália fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Palestra Itália getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. The wind increased when Breno Paes made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Percy Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palestra Itália's supporters crossed their fingers, but Percy Tinoco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 55 minutes into the game, Breno Paes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jairo de Souza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Percy Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Breno Paes took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jairo de Souza. Jairo de Souza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. The supporters of Palestra Itália booed when Favelas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Vítor Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Breno Paes in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jairo de Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 83 minutes, Gilvan Queiroz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Favelas and the Palestra Itália players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Favelas's Gilvan Queiroz got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Palestra Itália's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
