Augusto Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Baltazar Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute Enrique Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serginho Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augusto Pinheiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Baltazar Galvão made a huge save. Angelo Matorin charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angelo Matorin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frederico Sarmento got free with Baltazar Galvão in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Augusto Pinheiro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Baltazar Galvão firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of Cubatão FC booed when Brasileia SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Fernando Gonçalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Brasileia SC's goal looked a bit too open when Nando Neto came free, but Baltazar Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cubatão FC's Raimundo Madureira got a free kick in the 34th minute.

In the 53rd minute, Chicão Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Brasileia SC's zone, Nando Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltazar Galvão came out of the goal and Nando Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baltazar Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nando Neto in the 57th minute of play. When the match had been going on for 62 minutes, Brasileia SC's Wilian Rodrigues got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Serginho Dracena. Baltazar Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Brasileia SC's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Pinheiro came free, but Baltazar Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Brasileia SC's Chicão Mazza got a free kick in the 70th minute. Durvalino Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilian Rodrigues hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Serginho Dracena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Neto in the 85th minute of play. Carlos Fernando Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Serginho Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st match minute, Brasileia SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Faustino to maneuver through the defense. Baltazar Galvão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nando Neto's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Baltazar Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nando Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Cubatão FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
