Pioes SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Igapo the free kick. Beto Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Igapo's Juvenal Ceresso got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Tião Trancoso fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pioes SS's protests and gave Tião Trancoso a yellow card for diving instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelinho Porto made a kick off. Igapo's Juvenal Ceresso got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Caco Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, Igapo's Juvenal Ceresso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramiro de Alcântara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pioes SS's Júlio Ferreira pulled a muscle in his leg after 69 minutes and couldn't finish the game. A collision led to Igapo getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Dida Cardozo hit a great ball.
