A wasted opportunity for Guadiana. 45 minutes into the game, Gildo Zonta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Marcus Catarinense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In a very dangerous position, a player in Itamaraca fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! In the 78th minute there was a penalty for Guadiana. Francisco Alcântara stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hélder Amaral. 2-1. A collision led to Itamaraca getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Ramiro Moura hit a great ball. Victor Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélder Amaral having to interfere. In the 87th match minute, Itamaraca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Amorim to maneuver through the defense.
