Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Chicão Martins made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 11th minute, Chicão Martins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chicão Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Mário de Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute Celso Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Esteios's goal looked a bit too open when Váldson Valadares came free, but Nestor Mello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Mello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Váldson Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Faustão Martins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nestor Mello was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Nestor Mello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlinhos Toscano in the 37th minute of the match. Mário de Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chicão Martins went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Pedro Paulo Leão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Nestor Mello made a huge save.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Váldson Valadares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nestor Mello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlinhos Toscano, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After a rather tough play, Seixa's Gabriel Lago got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Reynaldo Gerber was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 53rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Esteios's Chicão Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Augusto de Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Seixa's zone, Celso Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mário de Moraes came out of the goal and Celso Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mário de Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Celso Souza went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Seixa's Mário de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chicão Martins in the 76th minute of play. Celso Souza might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mário de Moraes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celso Souza ran back to his position shaking his head. 84 minutes into the match, Esteios's Chicão Martins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mário de Moraes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Esteios's goal looked a bit too open when Váldson Valadares came free, but Nestor Mello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Esteios's zone, Carlinhos Toscano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Mello came out of the goal and Carlinhos Toscano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Seixa supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Esteios's performance. The match ended with a win for Esteios.
