Cássio Negri was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 18th match minute, Massa Bruta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Maria Barros to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walmir de Andrade got free with Túlio Torres in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute of the match, Walmir de Andrade got a very nice opportunity to score, but Túlio Torres was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. José Maria Barros took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cássio Negri. Cássio Negri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Diogo Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
