Sílvio Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sílvio Cunha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but José Pedro Meira made a huge save. When Horácio Sampaio came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Vaccacahy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horácio Sampaio couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Ingleses getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Renato Costa hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dida Leme during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ingleses booed when Vaccacahy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Cunha in the 59th minute of play forced Ingleses's goalkeeper José Pedro Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliézer Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Vaccacahy's Rui Rocha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Vaccacahy from getting a goal against them. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ingleses players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vaccacahy.
