Timgui's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Navegantes the free kick. After a rather tough play, Timgui's Gabriel Maciel got a free kick in the 6th minute. Davi Meireles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th play minute José Pedro da Silveira came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Lauro Barral. 1-0. The supporters of Navegantes booed when Timgui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdir Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute of the match Orlando Negri sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guilherme Souza skillfully saved the ball. Davi Meireles got in the 23rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Guilherme Souza handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Wágner Vinhas's late challenge caught a Navegantes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guilherme Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinei Corrêa in the 28th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dinei Corrêa in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guilherme Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gabriel Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Lauro Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guilherme Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davi Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Davi Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guilherme Souza having to interfere. Dinei Corrêa struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Guilherme Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Navegantes. After having played for 45 minutes, Davi Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Navegantes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davi Meireles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natã Hoffmann in the 47th minute of play forced Timgui's goalkeeper Guilherme Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Navegantes's Dinei Corrêa got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Timgui's goalkeeper Guilherme Souza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Guilherme Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davi Meireles in the 58th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Dinei Corrêa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Navegantes's supporters rose to their feet, but Dinei Corrêa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guilherme Souza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Davi Meireles's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Guilherme Souza skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 71 minutes into the match, Navegantes's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Maciel came free, but Lauro Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Timgui's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Davi Meireles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Thanks to some nice moves Davi Meireles could shoot a difficult shot in the 96th minute, which Guilherme Souza however easily saved by the left post. Navegantes were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
