Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Maurinho Costa started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Osmar Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flávio Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute Emílio Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marumbe SS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Maurinho Costa scored to the left of an out of position Raphael Silveira, making the score, 1-0. Luciano Meirelles kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the game, Narciso Bittencourt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Flávio Queirós was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Doni Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Borgueto AD's Maurinho Costa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Raphael Silveira. Raphael Silveira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. The supporters of Marumbe SS booed when Borgueto AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elano Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Emílio Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Marumbe SS's Narciso Bittencourt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flávio Queirós narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

53 minutes into the game, Doni Moraes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marumbe SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borgueto AD the free kick. After a rather tough play, Marumbe SS's Doni Moraes got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 54th minute, Osmar Bezerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flávio Queirós made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Narciso Bittencourt sent off a good shot on target. Emílio Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Flávio Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norberto Veloso during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 66 played minutes Borgueto AD got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Veloso. If Emílio Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Raphael Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurinho Costa in the 69th minute of the match. With a little luck, Borgueto AD's Flávio Queirós got control of the ball when Narciso Bittencourt tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Emílio Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Marumbe SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emílio Rocha couldn't finish the play. Maurinho Costa struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Raphael Silveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borgueto AD. If Maurinho Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
