The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Acutinga. After having played for 15 minutes, Aluísio Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acutinga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aluísio Quirino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dinei Tróia charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dinei Tróia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dinei Tróia hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júlio Varela got free with Xie Ting Sheng in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Xie Ting Sheng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aluísio Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Jaime Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexsandro Siqueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Alexsandro Siqueira was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 57th minute. Virtus Futebol Clube's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Xie Ting Sheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the match, Acutinga's goalkeeper Jaime Cerezo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Panait Lupșoiu. Virtus Futebol Clube's Alexsandro Siqueira got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Panait Lupșoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Virtus Futebol Clube's Emerson Vides got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute Panait Lupșoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Virtus Futebol Clube's attentive Dinei Tróia managed to snatch the ball when Aleandro Vidal made a throw-in in the 80th minute of the game. 84 minutes into the game, Alexsandro Siqueira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jaime Cerezo. Alexsandro Siqueira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Dinei Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexsandro Siqueira in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jaime Cerezo prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
